NOTAM has developed hardware for control of musical parameters in real time. The technology is often made in collaboration with individual artists, and used for installations and the performance of music both in Norway and internationally.
Controller Suit
Øyvind Hammer, Rolf WallinOn Rolf Wallin's initiative, and in collaboration with him, NOTAM made a MIDI controller suit for real time live performace of electronic music in 1994. The suit was upgraded in 2008 to allow for wireless tranmission of OSC-information rather than MIDI.
Electronic violin bow
Hans Wilmers, Knut Guettler, Håkon Thelin, Victoria JohnsonNOTAM in collaboration with the Norwegian Academy of Music have developed a violin bow equipped with electronic sensors for real time audio control. The first prototype is now ready, and the project was introduced at ICMC in Belfast in August 2008.
Musical Ball

Rob WaringSonomatrix er et nytt musikkinstrument hvor lydens bevegelse og plassering i rommet kan styres i detalj. Komplekse bevegelsesmønstre i naturen kan lett overføres til instrumentet.
MIDIkontroller
Øyvind HammerMIDIkontrolleren er laget for bruk i konserter og installasjoner. Det kan for eksempel dreie seg om bruk av infrarøde sensorer, kroppsvarmedetektorer, lysmålere og brytere, eller styring av lys, motorer eller lignende.
